A Tour of Montreal Through 50 Menus features the personal collection of Anne Fortin, founder of Librairie Gourmande at the Jean-Talon Market, as well as the Conservatoire culinaire du Québec. Working in the gastronomy sphere for several years, she has—since the 1960s—amassed a significant collection of menus from large hotels, era-defining restaurants, fine dining clubs, and major sporting and cultural events.
A selection of 50 of her menus bears witness to the vitality of Montreal's culinary scene in the last century. This loan to the MEM is an opportunity to explore a private collection and a unique gastronomic heritage.
