Uchronie

This exhibition by Patrick Dionne and Miki Gingras revolves around the short film YULÍ, based on stories collected in a marginalized neighborhood of Medellín, Colombia. Uchronie is an immersive installation that blends photographs, animated sequences and collage techniques in which the duo explores perceptions, prejudices and identity narratives linked to the territory. The exhibition questions the role of uchronia — “a time that doesn't exist, a reinvented reality” (Nuria Carton de Grammont) — as a critical tool for imagining other possibilities. It gives voice to fragmented visions of the city and proposes a visual and political reflection on urban space and its representations.
