The Musée des maîtres et artisans du Québec’s mission is to promote the inventiveness of the creators of handmade objects in Quebec. Its artistic objective is to increase awareness of traditional as well as contemporary arts, fine crafts and craftsmanship. The Museum also gives a special place to the expression of the arts and traditions of the numerous cultural communities that make up its local population, and reflect Canada’s diversity today. The Museum’s focus on learning and drive towards information accessibility makes it an important educational institution that specifically reaches schools and students.

The Museum is in the process of renewing its permanent exhibition and several changes are underway. Thank you for your understanding. You will still discover more than 120 objects from our collections of crafts, folk art and fine craft in addition to our temporary exhibitions, videos of craftspeople and a virtual reality projection.
